Materials play a big role in Karaton. There are 2 major categories:

Basic materials

These materials can be found everywhere on and around the island. This is the basis for making most objects.

Some examples of these materials are: wood, stone, lianas, copper, ...

Processed materials

These materials can only be obtained through workshops. Workshops are unlocked at a certain level and can be made on your workbench. These workshops must be placed in your camp before you can use them. Now you can make wooden planks from wood, for example.

Beware! If you don't have the right base material, you won't be able to make crafted materials.
